Voting in Marion County takes place in August and November. The Primary Election is held 11 weeks before the General Election in every even-numbered year. A General Election is held in November of every evennumbered year. All registered voters, regardless of party affiliation or no party affiliation, may exercise their right to vote for federal and state races, judicial retention and statewide proposed constitutional amendments and revisions on the General Election ballot.
